Words Cannot Express Our Gratitude

Ms. Belen has lived in her home since she was in elementary school. Her mother deeded her the home, and she now lives there with her three children. They are 8,7, and 4 years old.

There were visible holes in the ceiling throughout the home, and both bathrooms needed considerable work. One of the bathrooms had a constant leak, and the pipes froze and cracked every winter. The plumbing problems  made the shower unusable. Ms. Belen and her children used the old fashioned bathtub in the second bathroom instead, however, the second bathroom's toilet was falling through the floor.

Ms. Belen loves her family home, but due to physical and financial inability, she was unable to make much needed repairs on her home to make it safe and secure for her and her children.

Thanks to the generosity of the George Kaiser Family Foundation and dedicated volunteers and supporters like you, Miss Belen and her children now have a safe, secure, and weatherproof place to call home. Ms. Belen and her family received new doors, structural repair, plumbing repair, bathroom modifications, ceiling and sheetrock repair, porch repairs, and a new roof among other repairs.

After receiving the repairs, Ms. Belen said, "Thanks for turning this into a home again. Words cannot express our gratitude."
